BN03-16: Montair Sets Schedule

Recent History 2000-2002

Nov. 6, 2000

DAWSON CREEK — The schedule has been set for a new executive-style aircraft service between the Mile Zero City and Vancouver.

Starting Nov. 20, Montair will depart Dawson Creek on Mondays, Tuesday, Thursdays, and Fridays at 8 a.m. and arrive at Vancouver’s south terminal at 8:50 a.m., local times.

Travelers should be able to reach almost any point in the Greater Vancouver areas via taxi or rental car by 10 a.m.

Return flights will depart at 7 p.m. PST, arriving in Dawson Creek at 9:50 p.m.

Montair will also provide a weekend service. The “weekender” departs Friday nights at 10:10 p.m. MST and arrives in Vancouver at 11 p.m. PST. The return flight is on Sunday at 7 p.m. PST.

A Pilatus PC12, a Swiss-built pressurized turboprop that cruises at over 270 knots and flies at 25,000 feet, will be used.

Fares range from $299 for a 14-day advance purchase to $699 return full fare.

The new service comes as a result of an airport survey conducted recently by the Dawson Creek Airport.

Of the 78 who responded to the survey, sent out to 260 businesses, 68 said they would use the direct, early morning service if it took them to the south terminal at Vancouver International Airport.
